One Federal Solution SBA Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) whose primary mission is to provide the Federal government with outstanding services in the areas of Information Technology, Project Management and Healthcare and Administrative Support Services. We are looking for a part-time (30 hours per week) proposal assistant to support our team from our Alexandria office. This position is for a temporary, two month period with potential to turn into a permanent position.

• BA/BS in English, Business, Communications, or closely related field from an accredited college or university or demonstrated equivalent
• Minimum 2 to 4 years professional experience providing RFP response and proposal development
• Experience with Shipley Principles or similar proposal development procedures for wiring Government proposals

•Creates, gathers, researches and organizes information from many sources to generate proposals
•Reviews RFP and bid/qualifications request documents to clearly understand client requirements
•Works with business development manager to prepare responsibility and compliance matrix
•Creates project plans for internal and external proposal and business schedule
•Assists in writing all proposals, RFI, Sources Sought and Market Surveys and other information needed in business growth
•Organizes all technical written materials supplied by support groups including organization of sections, tables, exhibits, and attachments
•Monitors proposal for accurate content and consistency and compliance
•Supports graphics, editing, quality assurance, and production
•Identifies and edits existing materials and/or writes copy to effectively communicate services, core capabilities, and key discriminators to develop responses
•Researches and gathers information including corporate information, past experience examples, proposed project team resumes and other standard materials
•Captures any new language written for addition to the marketing content database
•Tracks and reports status of all proposal elements to proposal team and business development manager
•Anticipates possible trouble areas and works with business development manager to provide practical solutions to problems as they arise
•Manages the production of draft, final text and graphics, binding and labels
•Supports special projects and completes other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate such as conference planning and preparation of brochures, etc.
