The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will participate in, support, and direct the engineering efforts associated with migrating and maintaining both customer facing and corporate application in a ptovate and public cloud environment. Mentor, train, and lead fellow team members and peers through design and implementation decisions to achieve balance between strategic design and tactical needs.

- Lead the definition of cloud architecture and technology stack for the VCM IT Organization; research new technologies, and prototype new ideas. Lead deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability in the cloud. - Design and lead the implementation of automation for cloud platforms as well as monitoring and alerting.

- Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards.

- Design, develop and deliver presentations focused on raising awareness for cloud engineering best practices. - Provide expert guidance to developers and quality assurance engineers on the appropriate selection and implementation of relevant techniques.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer information sciences or related focus, or equivalent experience

- Minimum 5 to 7 years of infrastructure experience, AWS Certification highly preferred - Expertise in network architecture, including load-balancing, DNS, IPSec VPNs, and active-active/multi-homed data centers.

Expertise in security best practices and use of firewalls, IPS/IDS, encryption, and incident response. - Experience in virtualization technologies such as VMware

- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, ElasticIP, Route 53, IAM, Gateways, VPCs, CloudWatch, Lambda scripts, etc. - Experience with information systems in a 24/7, “real-time” environment. - Must be detail oriented, organized, and have the ability to multi-task - Ability to demonstrate supportive relationships with peers, clients.Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will provide overall guidance and oversight as we migrate the VCM IT Suite to the cloud.
