The Assigned Client Engineer will provide dedicated support for the Windows, VMWare, network and custom application components of the customer's complex environment. This position will serve as a customer-focused solution SME and will provide both escalation and engineering support to the customer as well as the Verizon 24x7 solutions desk. This is a customer-facing engineering role.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep background in Windows, Linux, VMWARE and custom application support The candidate should possess:

Manage and monitor VMware clusters from vSphere and ESXi CLI · Experience with one or more of the following VMware components: vRA, vRO, NSX · Experience deploying and/or supporting Distributed Firewalls and/or SDNs · Experience supporting Hyper-Converged hardware including vSAN · In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts and troubleshooting practices in an Enterprise environment · In depth ability to install, configure and support Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012 · Assist with the administration of Microsoft Active Directory, including GPO management · Assist with software updates and hot fix management . Complex application support · Assist with the documentation of hosted infrastructure · Strong communication and human interaction skills · Strong organizational skills · Highly motivated self-starter that is able to work independently or as a member of a team · Possess a sense of urgency with complete follow-through · Able to work in a dynamic self-directed team.
