Contract Closeout Specialist, Mid-Level

One Federal Solution is a SBA Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) whose primary mission is to provide the Federal government with outstanding services in the areas of Program Management and Information Technology Enterprise Management Services. We are currently looking for a Contract Closeout Specialist to support our Government customer.

Summary/Objective

The Contract Closeout Specialist shall assist the Contracting Officer with the quick closeout process for contracts with no funding remaining at the time of contract expiration. Support activities include preparing files for record retention, file maintenance, file conversion, transfer of records, physical file storage management, and document destruction. Additional support includes making recommendations, and documenting Government closeout actions. Work products include draft closeout correspondence to Closeout Specialists, draft closeout reports, draft closeout tracking documentation, and monthly closeout progress reports.

Job Duties

1.This position will process, coordinate, and prepare for execution of contract actions by a contracting officer. Various contracting actions include but are not limited to: closeouts, payments, vouchers, invoices, and de-obligation of funds.

2.Verification that all invoices have been submitted and paid before closing an order.

3.Obtaining concurrences for closeout from the COR and vendor; drafting modifications for the Contracting Officer’s approval and signature to de-obligate excess funds

4.Entering correct information into internal and external financial and business management systems and applications (i.e. PRISM, FBMS, IPP, FPDS-NG, etc.) to ensure proper closeout of orders.

5.Providing monthly reports of closeout activities. Work products include draft modifications and monthly closeout progress reports.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

 

•Bachelor’s Degree with (4) four years prior experience and background in field of Federal Government contracts and contract close out experience required

•Knowledge of FAR

•Prior experience working with Sam.gov; grants.gov; CPARS; fpds-ng

•Working knowledge and essential skills in standard business office software programs and general office related technologies and equipment.

•Knowledge of contract closeout procedures and techniques commonly used to carry out recurring assignments and perform developmental assignments or segments of contract closeout actions.

•Familiarity with business practices and market conditions sufficient to evaluate vendor completion. Ability to communicate and present factual information, compose memoranda and meeting minutes and draft contract provisions and supporting documents.

 

 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

 

Must be able to obtain the level of Industrial Security Clearance required by the Government.
